REEFCAPE Game Analysis
A new season, a new robot it all started with an indepth game analysis in January. We decided on a simple, reliable design a hybrid robot with a 2 stage elevator and an active intake attached to the arm, built for fast scoring and consistent performance throughout matches.
Drivebase and Power
With an open-field game demanding precision and agility, we knew Swerve was the drivetrain to go with. Using MAXSwerve modules powered by NEO motors for drive and Baby NEOs for steering, our setup focused on accuracy and smooth control. After testing our new swerve modules in the off-season, 2025 marks our first year competing with a full swerve system — and it’s proven to be the perfect choice for consistent, responsive movement across the field.
Elevator
Single stage belt rigged elevator with a maximum extension of 30 inches. Uses open loop belt in combination with custom 3d printed belt tensioners. Run by independent neo vortexs or a 1/9 planetary ratio
INTAKE
Internal roller intake design powered by a neo motor. Uses 2" wheels and uses a ratio of 9:1.
